Intellectual property (IP) is a category of property that includes intangible creations of the human intellect. There are many types of intellectual property, and some countries recognize more than others. The most well-known types are copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. We advise on rights and liabilities under the Trademark Act, the Patent Act, the Copyright Act, the Trade Secrets Act and other associated legislation including applying for registration of trademarks and patents and defending contested applications and drafting licensing and franchising agreements. We also conducting monitoring and investigation of counterfeiting activities, and coordinating such action with the authorities concerned and represent parties in civil and criminal proceedings relating to infringement of intellectual property rights.
